Taraval to publicize Taraval Station’s “distracted walking” campaign. Taraval Station Community Police Advisory Board, (CPAB), SF SAFE, (Safety Awareness for Everyone) and Taraval Police Station developed a “distracted walking” warning card to try to educate people regarding pedestrian traffic accidents and robberies.  One side of the card warns people about pedestrian traffic accidents and the other side warns people of robberies.

Officers from Taraval Station, students from Lincoln High School, and members from Taraval Station Community Police Advisory Board will be passing out “distracted walking” warning cards to pedestrians.

Each district police station has a Community Police Advisory Board.  Their role is to advise the station captain about crime and quality of life issues in their district.  They also help the captain try to resolve those problems.

SF SAFE is a non-profit organization that works closely with the San Francisco Police Department.  They guide residents, business owners, and community members to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods.
