SFPD Request Public Assistance in Identifying Dog Involved in Biting Incident 19-039

On April 3, 2019 at approximately 12:00PM, two middle school students were running at Joe DiMaggio Playground for a school physical education assignment. Without provocation, the students were bitten by a dog at the corner of Mason Street and Lombard Street. Both victims sustained bite wounds to their legs and were treated and released from a local hospital.

The dog is described as large and white with black and gray colored spots. The owner of the dog is described as a Caucasian female in her 30’s wearing a black shirt and purple vest.

The San Francisco Police Department’s Vicious and Dangerous Dog Unit is investigating this incident and requests the public’s assistance in identifying the dog in order to obtain information regarding the dog’s vaccination record.  The dog owner or anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Vicious and Dangerous Dog Unit at 1-415-553-9182.
