Bayview Station Newsletter - April 18, 2018

On April 15th, the Bayview District had it's turn to participate in the 10th annual Sunday Streets event! Sunday Streets is a program to help encourage community building through physical activity and to inspire people to think differently about their streets as public spaces. Through non-profit Livable City , in partnership with the SFMTA, San Francisco Department of Public Health, and the City and County of San Francisco, neighborhoods most lacking recreational opportunities participate in a season of Sunday events that reclaim car-congested roads for a day and transform them into a temporary open space for all to enjoy. Community groups, small businesses and non-profits all get involved along the 1 to 4 mile routes with fun and free activities. SFPD participates as well in engaging the community with activities, our talking police car, our mounted and K-9 units, and an introduction to our SFPD Cadet program. I would like to share some photos from the event with you with the hope of seeing everyone again next year!
