Update on San Francisco Unified School District Threats Investigation 18-039
On February 27, 2018 at approximately 8:30 AM, San Francisco Police responded to the 500 block of Franklin Street regarding an adult suspect who made threats against a San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) administrator. The suspect also made violent threats against Rooftop Elementary School. Out of precaution, Rooftop Elementary School was placed on lockout, meaning the students remained inside the building and all outside doors were locked. The suspect fled on foot from Franklin Street prior to the arrival of police.
The SFPD Special Investigations Division (SID) conducted an investigation, leading to the identity of the suspect. Later that evening, police arrested 36 year-old Rawneesha Roya, a San Francisco resident, on the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue. Roya was booked on two felony charges of threats.
