The San Francisco Police Department Special Victims Unit (SVU) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a kidnapped juvenile and kidnapping suspect.

On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, officers responded to the 1100 block of Mission St. at approximately 1:30 a.m. regarding a report of a possible kidnapping. Officers arrived on scene and met with the father of a 4-year-old female, Fatima Abuzahra. The investigation determined that Fatima was taken from her home by a relative, Enas Birawi, without the father’s knowledge or consent.

Fatima and Enas were last seen in the area of the 600 block of Eddy St. in San Francisco. It is possible that Enas is staying in a hotel in the area. Enas was also accompanied by her 8-year-old biological son during the incident.

Fatima Abuzahra is described as 4’2” in height, 50 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a pink pajama sweater and tan pants. Fatima is considered at-risk due to her age of 4 years old.

Enas Birawi is described as a 30-year-old female, 5’1” in height, 200 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes, was last seen wearing a black jacket and gray pants and was carrying a burgundy suitcase. The 8-year-old son of Enas was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and black pants.

A photo of Fatima and Enas accompanies this news release along with a photo of them together after the kidnapping.
