SFPD Investigates Homicide in Southern District 24-001

On January 6, 2024, at approximately 9:58 pm, San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Terry A Francois Blvd and 16th Street on a report of a shooting.   

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and summoned paramedics to the scene.  The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Despite life-saving efforts made by first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.   

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail arrived on scene and are leading this open and active investigation.
