The Junior Giants Challenger League is a league of families that meet on Sundays to play baseball. The youth players overcome personal challenges to play the game of baseball. With the help of volunteers and coaches, the players get the opportunity to participate in every aspect of the game.

Chief Suhr has promoted this partnership and with the assistance of Captain O’Sullivan of the Bayview District, Captain Redmond of the Southern Police District and the San Francisco Police Officers Association. The San Francisco Police Department has embraced this opportunity to participate with families to make every Challenger League Sunday a memorable event.

The San Francisco Police Department continues to support events and groups that focus on the needs of the community.
