SFPD Request Public’s Assistance in Solving Richmond District Hit and Run 18-101
Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TCIU) are requesting assistance from the public in locating a suspect and vehicle wanted in connection to a hit and run traffic collision.
On August 4, 2018, at approximately 1:23 AM, SFPD officers responded to a traffic collision at Geary Boulevard and 2nd Avenue. A preliminary investigation determined that the victim, a 54 year-old male San Francisco resident, was crossing the intersection diagonally from the northeast to southwest when he was struck by the suspect vehicle. At the time of the collision, the suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Geary Boulevard. The driver immediately fled the scene, failing to stop to provide aid to the victim. The pedestrian suffered life threatening injuries and is still hospitalized.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored sedan that likely has front end damage. The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Arguello Boulevard from Geary Boulevard.
