SFPD Officers Arrest 7-Eleven Robbery Series Suspect 18-106

On Tuesday July 17, 2018, twenty-seven year-old Oakland resident Mario Robinson was apprehended by members of Tenderloin Station and the SFPD Robbery Detail who were investigating a recent robbery series targeting 7-Eleven Stores in San Francisco. Robinson is the suspect in five robbery cases dating back to June 16, 2018.

Robinson committed four armed robberies and attempted a fifth over the course of three weeks. He preyed on 7-Eleven Stores exclusively, calmly walking into the stores during business hours and brandishing a handgun. Robinson concealed his identity using a black ski mask.

As a result of the investigation by the Robbery Detail, Robinson was arrested and booked at San Francisco County Jail on eight counts of robbery, five counts of second degree burglary, and two counts of attempted robbery.  Due to pending identification matters, a booking photo is not being released at this time.

This investigation is an example of a coordinated effort by members of the Patrol and Investigations Bureau, which led to the safe and successful apprehension of a dangerous criminal. Although an arrest has been made, investigators are asking anyone with information on these cases to contact the San Francisco Police at 415-575-4444 or Text-a-Tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD.  You may remain anonymous.
