San Francisco Police Arrest Suspect in Subway Robbery Series

San Francisco Police made an arrest in a series of robberies that have been occurring since the fall of 2010. In total, there have been 14 robberies of Subway Sandwich restaurants throughout San Francisco. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Unit working together with the Department’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit and Crime Lab developed forensic evidence that led to the identity of the suspect. The suspect identified as Damon Cooper, 40 years old, a San Francisco resident, was taken into custody on February 7, 2011, at his residence in the City’s Bayview District.

A mug shot of the suspect will not be made available, due to the fact there are identification matters pending in other cases.
