San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr held a press conference at the Hall of Justice on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. to discuss developments in the arson and vandalism of a Muni bus at 12:30 A.M. on Monday October 29th at Market and Third Street.

Chief Suhr thanked the public for their assistance in indentifying the vandalism suspect pictured in a San Francisco Chronicle photo that was circulated widely on the internet, via social media. Public assistance was instrumental in apprehending the suspect, Gregory Tyler Graniss, 22, of San Francisco.

During the press conference, Chief Suhr also made public cell phone video and associated photographs of two suspects wanted in connection with the arson of the Muni bus. "With the assistance of the media and the public, we were able to apprehend the suspect responsible for damaging the bus windshield. We are now asking for public assistance in identifying these two arsonists and bringing them to justice," said Chief Suhr. "The Police Department is working closely with the Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA) to solve this case. When we do, we will coordinate with the District Attorney and City Attorney's Offices to hold these persons accountable for their actions and to see that restitution is paid."
