Wanted for Questioning
02-114 09/03/02

Suspect 1
Suspect: HM, early 20s, dark complexion, dark eyes, very short dark stubble on otherwise shaved head, no visible facial hair.

Narrative: On 09/02/02 at 0008 hours the female victim (20 YOA) was shot while she was in her car on the 3100 block of 21st Street. The victim and a girlfriend had just left a restaurant, and chanced to meet a male friend. As the group was talking a confrontation ensued between the victim's male friend and an unidentified HM (see composite). The dispute seemed to be over gang affiliation. As the victim, her girlfriend and their male acquaintance were sitting inside the victim's car on 21st St., shots were fired into the vehicle. It is presumed the shots were intended for the victim's male acquaintance and that she was, tragically, in the line of fire. The victim drove a short distance and crashed her car into other cars parked on 21st St. The male acquaintance in her car fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
