SFPD Seek Public Assistance in Locating Hit and Run Vehicle 18-086
On June 27, 2018, at approximately 4:13PM, a hit and run vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of The Embarcadero North and Sansome Street. The suspect vehicle, a gold/champagne color, Honda Civic 4-door sedan, travelling southbound on The Embarcadero was swerving through traffic when it collided with a pedicab (bicycle powered taxi). The impact from this collision caused the pedicab to collide with a second pedicab.
The driver of the first pedicab, a 66 year-old male, was seriously injured as result of the collision. He remains hospitalized in life threatening condition. The operator of the second pedicab, a 32 year-old male was not injured in the collision.
The passengers in the first pedicab- a 32 year-old female and her five year-old daughter- and the passengers in the second pedicab- a 33 year-old male and his eight year-old daughter- were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injures. All of the passengers are members of a family that was visiting from Canada. They have been discharged from the hospital.

This incident occurred at a busy time of day on a well-traveled thoroughfare. Investigators ask anyone who was in the area of The Embarcadero and Sansome Street on June 27, 2018 around 4:13PM to check cell phones, dash-cams and surveillance systems for photos or video of the collision and/or the suspect vehicle.
