SFPD Host Inaugural Motorcycle Training & Skills Exhibition Benefiting SFPAL
The San Francisco Police Department will be hosting the inaugural motorcycle training and skills exhibition this weekend. The main event will take place in, “Lot A,” on Saturday, August 3rd, from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. Over 50 officers from law enforcements agencies in California, Nevada and Oregon, will maneuver their motorcycles through timed obstacle courses. Everyone is invited to attend and watch this friendly competition between members of the law enforcement community. This event is free to the public.
In addition to the exhibition, “Motorcycles for kids,” will make its debut. Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to a non-competitive bicycle event by riding through a bicycle obstacle course. The children will be given safety tips for safe riding while having fun with officers. The, “Motorcycle for kids,” event runs from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. This event is also free and children are encouraged to bring their own bicycles and helmets.
Officers competing in the event pay a nominal entrance fee and all proceeds benefit the San Francisco Police Activities League.
