San Francisco Police Arrest Serial Commercial Burglary Suspect
The San Francisco Police Department has arrested a parolee in a series of four window smashing commercial burglaries of the same restaurant. All the incidents occurred in recent weeks. The suspect has been identified as John Fradet, 40 year old male, from San Francisco.
A restaurant on the 500 block of Second Street was burglarized three times between July 9th and 23rd. In each incident the suspect forced entry into the establishment and stole a large quantity of alcohol.
On August 2nd, members of San Francisco Police Criminal Investigations Unit, conducted surveillance on the restaurant and saw Fradet gain unlawful entry. Fradet was arrested without incident as he left the restaurant with over $7,000 in alcohol. Investigators used surveillance video to link Fradet to all four burglary incidents.
Fradet has been charged with commercial burglary in all four incidents and remains in custody. The total loss in all four incidents is estimated to be $33,000. Fradet is currently on active parole for burglary. A booking photo of Fradet accompanies this press release.
