Subject: BABY NIGHT NURSE WANTED FOR QUESTIONING IN FRAUD CASES
San Francisco police are seeking the public’s help in locating a woman for questioning in a series of baby nurse fraud cases. Mariana Monticalvo, who also goes under a number of aliases*, has been posing as a nighttime baby nurse. After signing a contract, Monticalvo receives partial payment, as much as half of the entire contract, which could be $5,000, works for one night, and never returns. In other cases, she receives half of what the contract stipulates, works one night, and the next day fabricates a story as to why she needs the balance immediately. After given the balance, she does not return to fulfill her contract.
These fraud incidents began last November and have occurred throughout the Bay Area, including incidents in Contra Costa and Marin counties. There have been five cases reported in San Francisco.
Monticalvo is a Hispanic female. 44 years old, 5’ 4”, 155 lbs. A photograph is available from the Public Affairs Office during business days and hours and at the Operations Center, Room 400, Hall of Justice, at all other times.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fraud Section at 553-1521 or the Operations Center at 553-1071.
