San Francisco Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect in a kidnapping and rape case that occurred early in the morning on Thursday, December 1, 2005. In this incident, a 25-year-old San Francisco woman was driving her car eastbound on Bryant Street at about 2:00 A.M. when, at the intersection of Bryant and Third streets, the driver of a white sedan rear-ended her car. Both the victim and suspect got out of their vehicles and agreed to exchange insurance information. When the victim reached into her glove compartment for paper and pencil, the suspect pushed her into the car, grabbing her car keys. He then drove her in her car to a nearby location and sexually assaulted her.
After the assault, the suspect stole the victim’s ATM card and demanded to know her PIN. After the victim surrendered the number, the suspect pushed the victim out of the car. She soon noticed a DPT worker, who called 9-1-1. The suspect meanwhile abandoned the victim’s car and returned to his own car that he had left on Bryant Street.
As the result of a thorough investigation, police have determined when and where they believe the suspect used the ATM card, and have obtained video stills at the ATM location. The suspect in this case is a white male, 20-26, 5’10” with brown hair.
Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact the Sexual Assault Detail, 553-1364 or the Confidential Tip Line 575-4444.
