Subject: San Francisco Police Arrest Suspect In November 13 Arson Assault In Golden Gate Park

Yesterday, November 24, San Francisco police arrested Eric Dilbeck, 47, no local address, for the attempted murder of Bryon Rowe, 55, of San Francisco. On November 13, 2009 at 1:00 P.M., Dilbeck set Rowe on fire using lighter fluid as Rowe slept on the grass in Sharon Meadow in Golden Gate Park.

Based upon the victim’s statements and physical evidence recovered at the scene, Arson inspectors established probable cause for the arrest and booking of Dilbeck. He has been charged with attempted murder, arson resulting in injury, and assault. Dilbeck remains in custody.
