Subject: San Francisco Police Seeks Public's Help In Locating Suspect
San Francisco Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a burglary suspect who escaped from custody last night. Police were transferring Carney Taylor, 19, from Northern Police Station, Turk and Fillmore streets, into a police van at 7:30 P.M. when he escaped.
Taylor is an African-American, 5’7”, 133 lbs. He was last seen in the area of Golden Gate Avenue and Webster Street. Police conducted a search of the area for several hours. Taylor was not located.
He was last seen wearing a black shirt, white t-shirt, tan hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes. Taylor is known to frequent the Western Addition area.
Anyone with information should call 9-1-1 or the Confidential Tip Line, 415-575-4444. It is a crime to assist an escaped prisoner in continuing to elude police and anyone doing so is subject to arrest.
