Yesterday, October 20, San Francisco Police Department officers arrested a man who robbed the Bank of America at 3250 Mission Street on that day at about 11:40 A.M. The suspect, Anthony Dodson, 35, had presented a threatening note demanding money to the teller and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers responding to the bank alarm spotted Dodson at 26th and Guerrero streets a short while later. He was taken into custody without incident.
Dodson is responsible for three other bank robberies in San Francisco, US Bank at 540 Van Ness Avenue, which he robbed twice, on September 4 and on October 9, and Wells Fargo at 2300 16th Street on October 6. He is also a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred in San Bruno.
The United States Attorney will be the prosecutor in this case.
