Early this morning, Wednesday, October 10, members of the San Francisco Police Gang Task Force arrested a suspect on a $1 million robbery warrant. Taken into custody in Daly City at about 7:00 AM was Daniel Dennard, 23, of San Francisco. Dennard, a suspected Oakdale Mob gang member, was arrested as part of a five-search warrant operation conducted this morning in connection with two armed robberies that occurred in the Bayview district on September 27 and 28. In addition to the Daly City search warrant, three search warrants were served in the Bayview District and one in Oakland. The Gang Task Force was assisted by officers from the SFPD's Bayview Station and the Tactical Company.
Dennard was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with three counts of armed robbery, one count of carjacking, and one count of an ex-felon with a firearm. Dennard was additionally charged with being a member of a criminal street gang. The robberies involved the loss of approximately $400 in currency, jewelry, and a vehicle in the carjacking.
Dennard's alleged crime partner in the robberies, Kerry Dawson, 21, was arrested on September 29, 2007 and remains in custody. His case is pending.
