SAN FRANCISCO POLICE DEPARTMENT NATIONWIDE PRESCRIPTION TAKE-BACK DAY, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2010
The San Francisco Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Agency and other local Law Enforcement Agencies will be part of a nationwide prescription drug “Take Back” day, on Saturday, September, 25, 2010 at all San Francisco district police stations.
This event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is free and anonymous, and no questions asked. There will be collection containers for prescription pills that are expired, unused, and unwanted. We ask for no identifying information on bottles, and plastic bags will be available at each site if needed.
Please start preparing now and look through your medicine cabinets.
WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCEPT LIQUID MEDICATIONS, INTRA-VENOUS SOLUTIONS, NEEDLES AND INHALERS OR PATCH STYLE MEDICATIONS. ILLICIT SUBSTANCES SUCH AS MARIJUANA OR METHAMPHETAMINE ARE NOT PART OF THIS INITIATIVE.
