The San Francisco Police Department is hosting a Public Safety Career Exposition on Saturday, September 8, on Treasure Island, 410 Palm Avenue, Building One, from
9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. The SFPD Recruitment Unit will be joining almost 30 other public safety and law enforcement agencies from all over California to personally discuss employment options with men and women interested in public safety careers with the goal of signing up applicants.
Local representatives will include the SF Fire Department, SF Sheriff's Department, Department of Emergency Management's dispatchers, SF Adult and Juvenile Probation departments, Municipal Transportation Agency, and the Department of Human Resources.
There will be demonstrations conducted by the various public safety agencies, along with information distributed by SF Safety Awareness for Everyone (SF SAFE), Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT), and the SF Housing Authority on the Great Lawn. There will also be family and community activities. Food and refreshments will be available. Parking is free. Muni will provide transportation ($1.50 each way) from the Transbay Terminal to Treasure Island during the day.
This exposition will be one of the largest recruitment fairs ever assembled, with booths filling the Art Deco lobby facing the spectacular San Francisco skyline.
The color flyer for this event is posted on the SFPD's Web site, sfgov.org/police, on the home page under Latest Updates.
