San Francisco Police have released a composite sketch of the driver of a vehicle involved in a shooting that left a six-year-old boy injured. The shooting occurred on August 23 at 12:45 in the afternoon at Amazon and Moscow streets near Crocker-Amazon Park. The boy was playing in the park when a stray bullet grazed him in the buttocks. Investigators believe that the shooter was a passenger in a 1996 or 1998 white two-door Camaro and was apparently firing randomly from the moving car.
The suspect driver is a black male, mid-20s, with a possible mole on his left cheek and with a Fu-Manchu-style mustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a black nylon doo-rag that also covered his neck.
Persons with information are encouraged to contact the General Work Section at 553-1141 or to call the Confidential Tip Line, 415-575-4444.
The sketch is available on the SFPD Web site, sfgov.org/police.
