San Francisco police arrested three suspects in a shooting incident last night in the Bayview district. Taken into custody were Ray Carpenter, 29, his sister Tiffany Carpenter, 23, and Jamal Butler, 18, all of San Francisco.
In this incident, two male victims were shot near 3rd Street and Quesada Avenue at approximately 10:30 P. M. One victim was transported to SFGH and the other later went to SFGH on his own. The victims' injuries were non-life-threatening.
Following the shooting, the three suspects were detained after police initiated a vehicle stop several blocks from the shooting. Further investigation led to their arrest.
Ray Carpenter and Butler were charged with attempted homicide, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a loaded firearm, and conspiracy. Tiffany Carpenter was charged with driving a vehicle, while permitting someone to bring a firearm into the vehicle, and with carrying a concealed weapon. Ray Carpenter and Butler remain in custody.
