San Francisco police have arrested the suspect in the stabbing death of a San Francisco woman earlier this month. Taken into custody was Manuel D. Castro, 31, of San Francisco.
Intensive investigation on the part of San Francisco Police Department Homicide inspectors led to the identity and location of Castro. An arrest warrant was issued and served on Castro in Delaware, Maryland, with the assistance of the U. S. Marshall Service. Castro was escorted by SFPD inspectors and booked into San Francisco County Jail yesterday, August 26, at 1:00 A.M. He has been charged with homicide and remains in custody.
The body of the victim, Ena Canales, 32, was found in a parked car on August 5, 2009 on the 800 block of Terry Francois Blvd. at approximately 9:45 P.M.
