On June 19, 2007, two men were indicted for manslaughter in the September 16, 2006 stabbing death of a 19-year-old Pacifica man, Boris Albinder, resulting from a dispute over a parking space on Geary Boulevard at 3rd Avenue just after midnight. Grand Jury indictments of manslaughter were handed down last Tuesday for Roeung Chhith, 21, of San Francisco, and Vansok Chil, 27, of Oakland. Both men were arrested late Friday night, June 22.
In that incident, Albinder's friend, who was attempting to reserve a parking space in front of a club for him, was confronted by the suspects in a van. When Albinder drove up and saw the fight, he joined in the struggle and was fatally stabbed.
Two other suspects in the incident had already been arrested, Pounloeu Chea, 25, on the day of the incident, September 16, 2006, and Serith Soun, 25, on December 15, 2006. The arrests last Friday were of the two remaining suspects in this case.
