This week, the California Highway Patrol, in partnership with the San Francisco Police Department, will conduct Operation Impact during the evening hours. On Thursday, June 12, the operation will concentrate in the Mission District; on Saturday, June 14, the focus will be the Central District; and on Sunday, June 15, the Northern District will be the area of enforcement.
Operation Impact will deploy a significant visual police presence to engage in various traffic enforcement operations. Operation Impact is designed to reduce traffic violation and collisions, and to provide additional police presence, thereby increasing the safety of residents in the community.
