San Francisco police officers continue their participation in Special Olympics with the latest event, the annual Tip-a-Cop event, on Thursday, May 26, at the House of Prime Rib,
1906 Van Ness Avenue at Washington Street, from 5:00 to 10:00 P.M.
Tip-a-Cop is the event in which uniformed officers become waiters for the evening, taking orders instead of giving them, as it were, donating all their tips to Special Olympics. Tip-a-Cop is one component of the police department’s participation, along with the Torch Run and Cable Car Pull. This year’s goal for all the Special Olympics events in San Francisco is $1 million.
