Subject: San Francisco Police Seeks Public's Help In Locating Shooting Suspect

San Francisco Police are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect in a shooting that occurred on April 27, 2006 on the 900 block of Ellsworth Street in which a thirteen-year-old girl was shot. The suspect has been identified as Bennie Powell, 21. The DA's Office has issued an arrest warrant for attempted murder, and bail has been set at $500,000. Powell is known to frequent the Tenderloin area, and the Sunnydale and Bernal Dwellings housing developments. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
