The San Francisco Police Department is expanding an enforcement operation and education program focusing on underage alcohol possession, consumption, and intoxication in and around AT&T Park during baseball games. The enforcement operation will begin Friday, May 1st, and continue throughout the remainder of the season.
There will be an increased San Francisco Police presence inside and outside of the park during this enforcement campaign. There will be zero tolerance for violations of underage drinking laws and public intoxication.
In addition to the enforcement operation, the San Francisco Police Department will be working with our neighboring law enforcement agencies in the educational outreach program regarding underage drinking in the stadium and vicinity. The San Francisco Police Department, in cooperation with the San Francisco Giants, is preparing flyers regarding the laws about underage drinking and the consequences of violating those laws. These flyers will be distributed at AT&T Park, on the streets in the immediate vicinity of the park, on local public transportation routes, and to the local school districts in the area.
