San Francisco Police Arrest Suspect in April 13 Bayview Shooting
San Francisco police arrested the suspect in a shooting that occurred yesterday in the area of Keith Street and Newcomb Avenue in the Bayview district at approximately 10:15 A.M. Taken into custody yesterday was Kalann Johnson, 19. Investigative information led to Johnson’s identity and location at a residence in the Bayview. He was taken into custody at approximately 7:00 P.M.
In yesterday’s incident, Johnson opened fire with a handgun on two armed uniformed security officers, who were in their vehicle, a 2008 white Dodge Charger, at Keith and Newcomb. There had been an earlier interaction between the security officers and the suspect. The shooting resulted in the lockdown of a nearby school on Oakdale Avenue.
Johnson has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and remains in custody.
