San Francisco police arrested two suspects after an early morning felony graffiti spree in the Mission district Monday. Taken into custody were Scott Cuilty, 28, and Cameron Jeffries, 24, both of San Francisco.
At approximately 12:30 A.M., a business owner on the 600 block of Valencia Street observed two males defacing the wall of the front of his store with black marker pens. When the owner confronted the two men, they ran off. Police responded to the owner's call and saw two men matching the reportee's description walking a block away. Police found a marker in possession of each of the suspects. When police brought the reportee to the suspects, he identified them as those who were defacing his property.
Upon questioning, police learned that the suspects were responsible for defacing the exterior wall of the restroom in Dolores Park earlier in the evening, and possibly some other graffiti incidents.
Both suspects were charged with felony vandalism, that is, damage in excess of $400, and conspiracy. In addition, Cuilty was charged with drug possession.
