San Francisco Police Seek Public's Help In Homicide

San Francisco Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the victim in a death case that occurred last week, Friday, March 16. At about 5:40 A. M. on that date, the nude body of a male-to-female transgender was found on the sidewalk of the 1600 block of Indiana Street between Cesar Chavez and Marin St. The victim was Latin, about 30 years old, slender, with shoulder-length dark hair. There were knife-like scars on both arms. Any one who may have information regarding the identity of the victim, or who has any information regarding this incident, is urged to contact Inspectors Karen Lynch or Tom Cleary, 553-1145, or to contact the Confidential Tip Line, 415-575-4444.

On that same morning, at about 8:00 A. M., a white female about 25 years old with blonde hair was seen walking nude on Cesar Chavez toward the Highway 101 South on-ramp, where she hitchhiked a ride, getting into a blue metallic car. Police are uncertain if these two incidents are related; however, this woman may have been a witness to the earlier incident. Police are urging the woman and/or the driver of the car to contact Homicide Inspectors Lynch or Cleary, or to contact the Confidential Tip Line.
