A 29-year-old Hayward woman turned herself in to San Francisco Police yesterday morning, February 27, after a warrant had been issued for her arrest for embezzling from the San Francisco Symphony, where she had been employed since 2005 in the accounting department. Taken into custody was Linda Simwa, who was arrested for embezzling over $17,000 during her employment with the Symphony. SFPD Fraud inspectors conducted a year-long investigation before the arrest.
At the time of her arrest, Simwa had been on probation in Alameda County for a 2004 embezzlement case involving a business in the East Bay.
