An arrest warrant has been issued for Robert Harrison, 38, the suspect in the robbery of two teachers in their school office last November. On November 9, 2004, two teachers at Visitation Valley Middle School were confronted by a gun-wielding man who threatened and robbed them, then fled on foot. Over 50 officers responded to the incident, evacuating the school and conducting a four-hour, room-by-room search. The suspect, however, had escaped.
Following the incident, Robbery Detail inspectors conducted an intensive investigation and ultimately identified Harrison as the suspect. The arrest warrant charges Harrison with a variety of offenses, including robbery, false imprisonment and burglary. He is currently in custody in San Mateo for an unrelated offense.
Members of the Robbery Detail wish to thank the staff at Visitation Valley Middle School, the residents of Visitation Valley, the patrol officers of Ingleside Station, and the Mayor’s Office for their assistance and support in the investigation.
