After the tiger attack at San Francisco Zoo on December 25, police initially reported that the animal had first attacked the 23-year old man and then attacked his 19 year-old brother. Further investigation determined that the sequence was reversed: the tiger first attacked the 19-year-old brother, then their 17-year-old companion, who died from his wounds, then the 23-year-old. The 23-year-old brother called 9-1-1 to request assistance prior to his being attacked.
